The meat is high-quality and cooked in exotic spices, which emit such a delicious aroma that makes every meat lover’s mouth water.

Chicken gyro
Whenever you visit any Halal restaurant or food cart in NY, I highly recommend trying out the chicken gyro. It is cooked with a touch of spices like cardamom, cumin, and turmeric. It's very flavorful with chicken cooked to perfection. So, if you can handle a bit of spicy food, it’s well worth a try.
Chicken and lamb shawarma wrap
I think every meat lover would agree that nothing can beat the halal chicken and lamb shawarma wrap. It is absolutely delicious, and most halal food carts will be happy to adjust the spice to a mild level if you can’t handle spicy. Also, the vegetables and meat used are usually fresh in most food carts (not frozen) so, I highly recommend trying it at a popular food cart such as Sammy’s Halal.
Falafel sandwich
The falafel sandwich is also a very popular choice. It is made with fresh vegetables and a flavorful blend of ground chickpeas seasoned with spices. At Sammy’s Halal, it is served with a tahini sauce which is one of their signature sauces and gives a sumptuous taste that would linger on your taste buds. You can also try it with red and white sauces, which are pretty flavorful.
Chicken over rice or lamb over rice
I highly recommend trying out the juicy, soft, and fresh lamb or chicken over rice in NY. It is full of balanced spices, which can range from mild to spicy taste. I love to eat lamb over rice at Sammy's and Halal as the meat is tender buttery and has a good consistency. Also, it goes really well with the spicy green sauce.
fish over rice with white sauce
If you love to eat fish, I highly recommend trying out the fish over rice with the white sauce. You can also try the hot and BBQ sauces if you can handle something spicy. The portion is quite good and fulfilling.
